JOB DESCRIPTION
DEPT: Final Assembly
JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of Assembly Supervisor, the Final Assembler works from engineering drawings and a Bill of Materials to assemble the highest quality conveyors at the lowest possible cost, while meeting departmental performance standards, and customer specifications and delivery requirements, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Review requirements of engineering drawings and Bill of Materials for accuracy.
Ensure all required spare parts are included with the conveyor for delivery to the customer.
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Requires the use of safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, grinding shield, and welding safety equipment, as needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as Bills of Materials, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud,
occasionally very loud.
